Color televisions and VCR's and the like can be bought extremely cheaply now compared to then. And even so, more often than not, they're all bought used. That's not a good comparison.

More of the poor rent... they can't even begin to afford to buy a home of their own.

A larger percentage than ever before is in prison for non-violent crimes to begin with. You can commit liquidate, and be locked at the same time as someone who was carrying a particular amount of sugar or sugar. No matter that the latter person was non-violent, was commiting a crime that involved nobody but himself, that particular amount is automatically charged as 'with intent to distribute' regardless of wether or not he intended to distribute. Lots of people like to buy in bulk... its cheaper...

But the fact is, that the odds greatly favor the liquidateer that he will be out of prison sooner than the guy who likes to get high.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! Have you EVER had to deal with a public defender to begin with? You can forget about them going distance to defend you. Their priority is to get a quick plea bargain or guilty verdict so they can go on to the next mark.

No, he's right... How often have you seen or heard of a politico being for some legislation, but backing away from it because it will affect his campaign contributions and he needs them in order to get re-elected next year.

No, he's right on there too... education costs are skyrocketing when compared to inflation or earnings. When your pay is going up 3%-yr while inflation is going up 4-5%-yr, and education has gone up 10-20% in just the past year alone, you're screwed.

But they can hold you for terrorizing his daughter because she kept getting scared cuz you keep looking at her... Gov'ts have always been able to do whatever the hell they wanted to with the weakest of reasons. The highest levels of our judycial system isn't appointed by the people, they're appointed by the gov't, and if you have a history of siding with the people over the gov't, you can forget about being appointed to the bench.

Methinks you confuse communism with socialism... there's nothing wrong with a little socialism in a society to insure the entire population a basic minimum standard of living... basic medical care for one...

We have some socialism going on in our country right now, this minute. Social Security is one prime example of a socialist system in use in the USA today.

Dude... socialist perhaps... not communist... they're not the same thing at all...
