AFAICT that only actually works in Movies and a vanishingly small proportion of individual cases. In reality the losers die unattractively and away from the public eye.

I'm not sure if you are really grasping the basic issue here. To do that good stuff you need an opportunity. The evidence I see around me suggests that these opportunities are getting thinner on the ground due to changes in law, income, culture and social services. Believe me, I would rather be wrong about this.

It would be nice if you changed the record a couple of times a year.

1) I wasn't talking about off-shoring in that case, I was talking about the trends in higher education. RTFP for chrissakes. 2) I wasn't making a judgement about it. There are no words in that sentence that are value laden anyway. RTFP.
