Announce The Vintage Computer Forum 1111I wuz. I want to run at least one system with Win98SE-W2K because of the multiple monitor support. It *very* nice to have 3 17" monitors yet have that. As of FreeBSD 4.9. I haven't checked past that, yet. Announce The Vintage Computer Forum 1113 I didn't say it wasn't important. By staring at the screen 8x7. JMF stared at a SYSDPY screen updating itself... To avoid having to buy new systems. These are older mother boards and have the 128 gig limit for IDE drives. (ASUS P5AB, IIRC) All I have to do with the 120's is drop them in, and copy the old drives. It gets a little tricky to plug in 14 or so systems-printers-routers into a 4 or 8 port switch. Also, at the time I bought it, (4 or 5 years ago?) the "consumer products" versions weren't all that fast. I started with a CNET 8 port hub (100mbs) and it turned out to be somewhat flakey. So, I saved my money and bought the HP 2224. From using HP switches before, I knew that most any NIC that I connected to it would work properly. The early 100mbs NIC's sometimes had initial handshaking problems for speed and duplex. No, just the hard drive. The computer and video would stay on the desk, upstairs. Announce The Vintage Computer Forum 1112 SNIP Don't knock it, it's important. How on earth do you think we can spot correlations between stuff like the weather... Could just run some coax for that. :-) -- To reply by email, remove the garbage from the reply address.
