dmr might have the time to explain that particular design choice; especially given that the "available" hardware at the time couldn't usually lowercase.

That only appears to be a network structure. Nothing obviously restrictive in there that'd prevent using a brand-X hammer on a brand-Y nail into brand-Z timber.

I'm too honest for my own good. Held up a supermarket checkout queue becuaes i pointed out that the lbutt had failed to scan one item. I spotted that because the total was a dollar shy of what I was expecting to have to pay.

They had no way to deal with the "problem"; given that the item that wasn't scanned was part of a qaunbreasty dicount scheme... so all like items had to be reversed through the system and the total quanbreasty rescanned on a separate docket. So I had three dockets for the one basket, counting the "refund".

The lbutt also had difficult working out the difference between $4.50 and $2.96 without the aid of a calculator.
