Data Entry 1244Hillary's political POV is known well enough. She will have to do real actions to be electable. But mayby if she joined the NRA, went strong on defense by pushing defenses against bad guys like the Kim's and supported som real tax reform. But they would need show shovels in hell before that happened. The core DNC may intelectually know that this is the only way to power, but they are unable to follow the path because of a score of hidden agendas. The last two successful democrat candidates for president followed this strategy exactly; but they could do this because they had power bases of their own far away from the DNC. I know several people who have allergic reactions to this. SNAP The more I read about this election, the more... I am simply amazed that Kerry got away with his voting record. Calling it Waffling is being way to lenient; he is consistently among the leftmost three senators, and he has been there for decades. "Pinko" yes, "waffel" no. He whole campaign was a series of backpedalling and exercises in deniability. OK, he has a stellar personal record, but his politics stinks. I think the US should say this loud and clear. Instead we wool and hot air. We know pretty well what a Kerry administration would look like. He would have to approach the mainstream on the core issues like budget and defense, but it would be a constant backpedalling. He would have done left-leaning stunts whenever he though he could get away with it. Defense and International politics would actually be the area least afftected; his hands would be pretty tied by the war etc. For the ones here that are not especially impressed by the Bush administration the alternatives are difficult to find. I would place the best bets to the center of the republican party. Shame mr Powell is retiring. .. mrr
