os-360 stage1 sysgen was bunch of macro statements (done by the customer) that when buttembled executed a large number of PUNCH statements ... that resulted in about a box of cards (2000) .. that were a large number of job steps for stage-2 sysgen. A significant number of the programs generated were IEHMOVE and IEBCOPY statements. I did quite a few sysgens ... where i completely re-orged the stage-2 sysgen output ... instead of one job ... produce job cards for each step, and rework things so i could run it in a standard production job stream (instead of under the starter system), and reordered both program end sequence and the iehmove-iebcopy statements for careful placement of files and library members on disks for optimized disk arm motion. misc. past posts mentioning stage-2 sysgen work
