I don't believe this. If the person did utter these words, was this person a volunteer or paid to do the job? If paid and these words were uttered, then this person has a performance problem.

The truth is that you have absolutely no idea of the use. Word95 isn't obsolete if it is still getting used. There was a guy who kept coming to the dump and throwing out all the books that he considered useless. One week I found three of these useless books outside in the rain, soaked. I would have picked them up if this f***ing idiot had not put them outside. Two of them were "obsolete" computing books written in Russian. I don't remember what the other one was, but I wept.

I don't go to their meetings for personal reasons. But I found out the things I could do for them and do them. One of the things my local needs is empty 1-pound coffee cans. So I save mine, wash them in ammonia and soap and bring them to the library.

Have you asked if they have a procedure. You have demonstrated that you are very blind to how the library operates. You might have missed the procedure. I would buttume in a small library that the submissions would be verbal.

No one knows until you ask.
