You realize that in the case of this thread, your response to me, you actually *were* wrong, several times. Right?

Note "both" and "they." Yet your response was:

When you make a statement like "You just want me to be wrong," it's helpful to be arguing from a position where you clearly were not. Maybe he does just want you to be wrong, but this thread isn't going to help you prove it.

You put in some interesting stuff, and you obviously were either there, or studied the period well. But your responses were none the less incorrect. It's time to say "oops" and move on. Or even just move on.
