I don't see how predrilling helps when your blueboard is getting attached to something other than a stud. Don't ask, it's a long story and I would try to use a stud whenever one existed ;-). Most of the surfaces were layers of white paint so I didn't care if it had soap on it. The last closet I finished had 3'x~36"x5" pine planks. I sanded, showered, sanded, showered, sanded, waxed and waxed before setting them into the closet. They're so beautiful I couldn't nail a single hole into them. Its also helpful to drill pilot holes, particularly for long screws or... But how long is it? From very recent experience, tunneling snow blowing doesn't work well. I had to sun my blower the next day to melt the huge frozen slush balls from the controls. The throttle ball intersected with the choke ball. This doesn't ensure successful bootstraps. It was hard to tell how much I got with the wind. My estimate is 25-30" but it could be more. It seems like I've been spending all of my energy trying to prevent ice this month...Until this weekend's blizzard. I know I will become broken if there's ice and I don't want to become broken because it will cause me to go to the hospital which will kill me (hospitals are septic growing containers). BAH
