Old PCsenvironmental hazard 3232They really aren't designed to last much longer than that. As I said somewhere else in this thread, the original built-like-a-tank PC1 was only "rated" for 5kPOH. Every component in there was specified to that level. I don't even know if such specifications exist on the components used in PeeCees now. I think it's a pretty good one. If your business is driving or computing, a loss of either is money out the window(s). So does a PC. I'fe replaced disk drives (of all varieties), fans, power supplies, and even motherboards and memory. I've found fans that were failing and replaced them before disaster hit. PM (cleaning dust buninies), etc. I generally don't, but regret it the first cold morning. :-( Same with PCs. I've heard fans and disk drives failing. Tell a PHB accountant that.
