I spent 2 weeks on it. I went up the chain, which is how I discovered that, if the belt broke, I was SOL, and if the belt was not broken and the tensioner come off by other means, I was covered. As the belt was not broken, that meant I was covered. All I had to do was have the shop amend the ticket. That was week 1. Week 2 was going around in circles with the shop manager, who stated that he was not changing the ticket. Despite being aware that the belt was not broken. At the time, that was more effort and energy than I thought I had, and less than it would have recieved had I not been otherwise occupied. I was putting all my energy into keeping my mates leg attached to his body, despite Oh Workermens Comp beaureaucratic run-arounds and muddled thinking (that it would be cheaper, after 18 years of putzing around, to whack his leg off rather than let someone actually treat the section of bone that was still harboring the infection. Never mind, we got that dealt with, and all is well now). I'm not discussing this further - it is not on topic for afu, and not something I thought would be more than a brief data point. If you want to discuss it, my email works. -- TeaLady (mari) Sunshine is not conducive to the efficient work environment.
