Seeking Info about TTY 3640Seeking Info about TTY 3641 I found a box of 32 year old Teletype (model 33) printouts that was still yellow. (I wish I could've kept them but space was at a premium and... This column Ampro 80186 2210 anyone I still have my 1985 Ampro 2210 (basically an LB186 with a 10MB HD and a 5" floppy). It still runs with my 1980 hp2621a terminal, but the original peripherals (modem, printer... Ah, thanks for adding the "Integral Data Systems" part. Yes, I recall these now. I had one myself for a short time, and there were a couple at one of my jobs. I don't recall using any advanced text modes on any of them, but I did write some code (in Z80 buttembler) to do graphics on the one I had. We had an LA120 on our VAX 11-785. It's normal mode, with a good ribbon, was quite readable, but distinctly dot-matrix. When we put it in high quality mode I think it did two pbuttes at each line and was still obviously dot matrix, but much more readable, and remained so even as the ribbon wore. Since it was only being used to log system events, I left it in high quality mode most of the time. When I had to actually sit and work at it for more than a couple of minutes, I'd usually switch it back to normal for the sake of speed. I never saw a Teletype dot-matrix, thought I know they made some, so I couldn't say. Well, to be honest, this one that I did see that did the stripes could have been some kind of Teletype. I just don't remember. If anyone specifically remember what this was, I'd very much like to see a picture of it to see if it jogs my memory. - Bill
