In much the same area, in Northern Syria, there is a whole area that once supplied olives and olive oil (or Oyl!) to the Byzantine Empire. After the Muslims took over Syria, Byzantium stopped buying that product, and the area was abandoned, the houses are still there with roofs fallen in, just as the owners left. There was probably a climate change as well, as does happen every few years anyway.

Get the protesters to pay for some of the hbuttle. If someone objects to something here, right so, but you pay a deposit against the builders expenses, Which has not been adjusted for a while. Dosn't stop the real nutcases, or people with a good reason. It can be hard to tell the difference sometimes, but there is a difference.

Then it will be extracted somewhere else. A local enterprising!
