Oh good, I'm not alone. I came as close to walking out of "The Bourne Supremacy" as I've ever come with any movie. It was so bad that much of the time I had to look away to avoid becoming seasick. I made a special point of noting the name of the cinematographer (Oliver Wood, who apparently did it under duress, i.e. on the director's orders) so I could avoid any future productions. As one review put it, "Someone should tell these people that hand-holding a camera and shaking it does not consbreastute art." Another commented that it looked like the "Bourne Witch Project".

Not having gotten around to seeing "Moulin Rouge" when it was in the theatres, my wife and I rented the video. We turned it off halfway through; apparently the director and camera crew were into the absinthe as much as the characters were. The promise of seeing Nicole Kidman in tight corsets would have saved it only if we'd had a chance of seeing her - or anything else, for that matter. And transporting Elton John in his sappiest "soft rock" phase back to turn-of-the-century Paris was the last straw.

And this doesn't even begin to get into so many cinematographers' obsession with shooting at 6 frames per second.

Someone was showing off their home theatre system to me. As far as I can tell, the only difference between a "home theatre" and my TV-DVD-VCR system that is plugged into my stereo, is that "home theatres" insist on shaking the building with obnoxiously loud rumbling that waters out everything else.

That horse already left the barn. Betamax came out a long, long time ago. TiVO is working with the cable...

You call that music?
