And my earlier posts did discount (I was hoping someone would bring it up...) the psychopath factor -- there are some people who will expend outrageous effort -- far more than they would expend doing 'honest work' -- to injure some other party. The cartoon "super villain" as it were. I think anyone who participates in this discussion has disqualified themselves from ever working in the field (which is in itself a sad commentary on the negative effects of paranoia ... you really *do* want clever people thinking hard day and night on ways to break your system, because The Bad Guys sure the heck are!) That this cost gets divided up and spread among all consumers is a Sad Fact of Life.
