I don't believe that. There was all the UN inspections and reports and the fact that they got kicked out no UN repercussions. Saddam was testing the UN resolve; it failed wonderfully for him. In addition he thought he had three of the UN security council in his back pocket. He had no problems telling the world that he planned to make more weapons. Given all that, if the rest of the world had done nothing and he had been successful, you'ld be castrating Bush, Britain and the US for doing nothing.

Why? They would be undermining each other. Iran doesn't give a poo about Hamas longevity and would prefer them to be wiped off the map after Israel is destroyed. I would think that Hamas knows this.

Try again. He was a puppet of USSR clamping down that corner of the world until he kicked him out. He was also trying to be The Arab Muslim world leader. The people who backed him on his way up expected a government that would go back to the good old days (like the Taliban and Iran preach). In addition, none of this type of thinking ever wants peace.

A lot of the Arab politics still is about becoming the leader of Islam. This is the original first conflict of Islam and they haven't accepted the idea that various flavors of Islam may exist without killing each other off. Christianity went through this with all the various Popes. One of the problems with Islam is that there isn't an equivalent to a Pope in their religious heirarchy; it was based on a form of leadership by concensus.

No, they don't. What is happening is they are internalizing the Democrat campaign against Bush. Democrats are still running the 2004 campaign, word for word. This is just so ridiculous because Bush cannot be reelected; so why are they expending their monies, energies and politics on a dead horse? I'm beginning to smell a very dead rat. But then I was paid to be very paranoid. I heard a comment that Al Gore's book (haven't found which one yet) stated that he wanted gasoline to be articially raised to $5US-gallon. I'm wondering if fulfilling this plan isn't one of the reasons for the smoke and mirrors.

Did you expect an instant perfect world? These people have a lot to unlearn. They also have a lot of work to do. What they've done in a year I expected to take 10 years.

I don't agree with everything Bush is doing, but he and his adminstration are the ONLY people in our political system who are addressing the danger. It is the platform of Decmocrats to not address this problem.
