At least that is how sane politicians would think. Iran doesn't appear to have a leadership that is quite sane. His actions and speeches appear that he thinks that the US is weak and has no spine. His learned this lesson during Carter's administration and seems to buttume that nothing has changed here. That is because the Democrats are doing such a good job of reinforcing this belief. The meat of all their speeches still pretend that 9-11 doesn't happen.

Listen to them and notice the structure of the verbiage. The very first paragraph talks about 9-11. Then there is a huge leap of logic because the rest of a speech sounds like this even never happened. What they are doing is getting the listener to first accept that the speaker is addressing 9-11 problems. Then the rest of the speech is about doing stuff that completely contradicts the acceptance. However, by the time the listener hears this contradiction, he is already primed to accept that the main speech does apply to working on this danger. It does not.

I object to your use of this word "right'. People are starting to use this word whenever they need a wrong idea to be swallowed without thinking. The meaning of this word is being abused. People use this word as a sop whenever they misbehave. For instance, people are using this word to justify their poor taste in public political protest while a ceremony is going on. These same people just pick some random ceremony and shout their nonsense at the grieving people.
