Did a bunch of work to make other laser printers look like super-3800s to SCRIPT and GDDM under CMS as the 3800 was the only supported multi-font and APA-pixel graphics printer.

I was lucky to work on a product in that timeframe to replace IBM MagCard Selectrics used for preparing UK MoD submissions and docs with something better than runoff-nroff, support character and line printers, daisy wheel printers up to dual wheel double wide platen, and phototypesetters. It was built for internal use, but also marketed around UK MoD contractors as a turnkey system and sold some copies, but I emigrated shortly after the initial external install.
