Umm. Check the TLD in my signature. :-( Striking against the government can work... sometimes... but it sure better be over something with many orders of magnitude more public support than this. Lighting fires under management buttes in the government is decidedly non-trivial. Not impossible, but non-trivial. I still have the formal reprimand from one of the times I tried in the past (not that it kept me from trying other times, but I did change tactics a bit). That would be the reprimand that I posted prominently above my work area, prompting my immediate boss to note that I didn't seem very chastised. (She was the one who signed the reprimand letter, but actually supported me; I think she felt she would get one herself if she didn't sign mine). The reprimand said that my actions had "caused embarbuttment" to management. Of course, everyone who read the copy that I posted thought that the reprimand itself said more negative about management than I had. I'm not saying that's why I posted it.... :-) -- Richard Maine Good judgment comes from experience; email: my first.last at org.domain experience comes from bad judgment. org: nasa, domain: gov -- Mark Twain
