And they shouldn't if they're using a computer system as a convenient tool in some other degree program. It was our job to provide hard-software to make this flavor of use possible. PCitis forced all users to become system experts.
But they would have to be taught how to do sanity checks to ensure that the computing results they do get are consistent; note that consistent does not have to be right answers.
