It is the global wireless communications system that now has cells in most other places on earth than in the US. Even rural Indonesia has better GSM coverage than the US...

If you want a good documentation of all fills and other magic incantations, take a look at one of the .MAC sources for SYSDPY that was shipped with TOPS-10..I think I put it on the Tools tape. Every time DEC came out with another TTY, CDO would hack SYSDPY to "support" its idiosyncroncies. And every TTY had their own mixture. I can't recall which source had this stuff but he fixed it so it was all within a table and a new TTY could be added with minimum editing time.

Note: Do not confuse the program SYSDPY with the supported program we shipped that was called SYSTAT.

Note: Based on the blue streaks that came out of CDO's office finding the magic incantations for home without erasing the screen was not trivial. IIRC, this happened when the VT05 became common.
