Today's mobile phone technology troubles 4157In fact there *are* "scientific studies" that illustrate exactly how radio interference works. The basic work was done nearly a hundred years ago, and is demonstrated every day. That is *exactly* the reason that we, along with virtually every country, have an agency that licenses and approves radio transmitters. If you would like to experience it first hand in a safer way than an inflight demo, where you risk killing everyone in the airplane, there are easier ways to see the effects. Find any city where there is one local bit of geography (a hill) that is better than anywhere else for local radio coverage. This is not an uncommon situation, and such a hill will no doubt be bristling with a huge variety of transmitting antennas. Drive your car up to the top of such a hill and then try listening to a radio or watching a TV. In particular, try listening to any radio station that is *not* located on that hill! You'll find that at just about any radio frequency there will be one or more of the *wrong* radio transmissions interfering.
