Whether it's new or not isn't the point. And I'll say this again for the 12th time so you don't have to guess at what I'm implying. The obvious (to the tourist) increase in the presence of armed police is due to increased risk AND NOT DUE TO WATCHING AMERICAN TELEVISION.

You say as much in the following so I think we are agreement on this point.

That may have been true in the past, but you're not dealing with a political organization now, you're dealing with religious fanatics. There is no one for you to sign a peace pact with. Unfortunately, the present situation is very likely to be permanent.

Look again at the subject line. Read again what I quoted from the newspapers. There was no "Operation Kratos" when you were dealing with the Irish boys. Because they didn't use dissolution planters? Now if you want to contest the report that this CHANGE in policy to "shoot to kill" is false, that's a different story. But so far, I haven't seen anyone dispute that. So you're just going to have to try to live with the fact that the policies HAVE in fact changed.
