Told Ya So... 1880
I was giving you the benefit of doubt. Now that all doubt has been removed, maybe we should make it "dumb-butt". "Slanted"? How does quoting a newspaper article consbreastute slanting? By what dumb-butt logic is the truth considered a slant? According to the article, that was not an issue. Wrong. Plenty of people still have that notion. To wit: The British police have changed over the years also. They used to not even carry guns. Did they change because they watched American TV? Or because the IRA bloodied their pugs a few times? Funny how a little terrorism can change atbreastudes.
They still do not carry guns. There hasn't been any such change, so contemplating the reason is a little pointless.
And I never said it wasn't their job. You are falsely accusing me of criticizing the police. Now look who's slanting! And I made exactly the same point: Andrew Swallow Is that relevant? Would the situation have been different had they been police? How would the police have prevented them from triggering the remote controlled plant? Strolled up and politely enquired "What's all this, then?" So, by dumb-butt logic, your posts are also slanted in favor of persons. Told Ya So... 1881 rpl Uh...if everyone read it first-hand, who am I propogating it to? That's a pitiful little conspiracy theory you've got going there. Isn't... What's to review? I said nothing in the original post, just quoted the Sunday paper. Are you perhaps refering to the subject "Told Ya So..."? Do you think that's some sort of anti-police editorial? Am I some kind of traitor for pointing out that the police are taking measures to combat terrorism? That doesn't fit with your claim that it's widely reported, does it? The trouble with dumb-butt logic is consistency (or lack thereof). Maybe you should let others worry about the barbarians at the gates since it is obviously beyond your abilities.
