On Tue, 28 Mar 2006 21:03:28 +0200, Morten Reistad I saved the message for studying later, but there are several points I agree with (IAmNotAnEconomist). Its a good thing that Mainland China has a stake...

The long-term parking is also cheaper at PVD (TF Green International, the Providence airport) than at Logan, it's easier to get around, your flight is probably less likely to be delayed, you'll probably get through security quicker, and, IME, you can get to PVD faster from Marlborough than you can get to Logan, much of the time.

I used to fly out of PVD a lot when I lived in Framingham.

I dislike big airports. Regionals are *so* much nicer. I'm on a fair number of international flights, and it's great to start those from a regional airport - I'm through security in about five minutes. I actually got to the airport about 15 minutes before scheduled departure once (due to traffic problems) and they got my luggage on the plane to the UK anyway. Amazing.

Saw a news article recently that said a poll of business travellers picked Denver International as the best airport in the country. I'm baffled; I think the DIA Mallport's one of the more tiresome airports I've had the misfortune to spend an afternoon in, and that's not even counting the infamous luggage-handling debacle there. It's not O'Horrible, but it's not pleasant, either.

(Big airports sometimes get a bit better once they get a little run down. I had to spend a day at LAX last fall, and I found a concourse - Comair I think - that was pretty much deserted. Had a nice seat by a power outlet so I could keep the laptop charged and got on the unsecured wireless network for one of the first-clbutt clubs. Aside from having to fend off the occasional zombie it was pretty sweet.)
