UNIVAC Pennsylvania Historic Roadside Marker fund raising

Hello,

I am in charge of raising the funds needed for a Pennsylvania Historic Roadside Marker that was approved this spring. This marker will be placed outside of the still standing building which once housed the Eckert Mauchly Corporation at 3747 Ridge Avenue in the East Falls section of Philadelphia, Pa. just behind the Laurel Hill Cemetery near Kelly Drive and the Schuylkill River. This was the location where the computers BINAC and UNIVAC were created.

I have set up a web page that has a PayPal donation link at (Ed Henderson - former UNIVAC engineer & I) are trying to raise the $1,200 (US) required by the state to fund the casting of the iron marker.

I have also provided a link on the page to the official announcement from the PA Historic Commission and an email link for Ed.

We are appreciative of any amount you can provide and we will post weekly totals of the amounts received. You will be invited to the dedication ceremony.

Please feel free to pbutt on this email to all interested parties.

Thank you for your support,
