Al Queda isn't the real threat. Al Queda is a symptom of the real threat. These extremists are not a majority; the count may not even be .01% of Muslims. I'm reading an awful lot about how, even the most conservative Muslims, are afraid of these persons and allow these messmakers to have their way.

For Islam and Western civilization to continue, this mindset has to change. Or we'll have a few thugs dictating to the rest of the world. When this happens, economies, trade, and society will revert back to similar conditions we call Dark Ages. I don't think it will revert back to what we Middle Ages because that depended on trade and a rudimentary banking system. Caveat: I haven't studied this enough to be sure. Last year my surety percentage was about 15%; now it's about 55%.
