Then, after a time, as you say, the Angles and Saxons and such came later...I was well aware of this...I DIDN'T say that the Anglo-Saxons came IMMEDIATELY after the Romans left, just that they came after the Romans left...you "over-read" that which was not actually said...then dismissed all the rest on the strength of that misunderstanding...

Your intolerance for the "unorthodox" - as quick to dismiss that which is not "ego confirmation" as fast as possible before it "infects" your insecurely-attained self-confidence levels (simple concept: If you refuse to ever listen to evidence that may conflict with your firm beliefs, then you can convince yourself that there is no evidence that casts any doubt on that belief: If you don't ever listen, then you never hear anything negative, basically) - is your undoing...

Interesting psychological mindset there; Convince yourself by selective re-inforcement of your beliefs...a form of "out of sight, out of mind"...and in refusing to acknowledge any weakness of any kind, then your ego convinces yourself of "strength"...by selectively only choosing those sources which re-affirm that pre-selected belief...

By the way, did the other G8 leaders convince Bush to acknowledge the existence of "climate change" yet? Has he yet to provide a single shred of evidence about anything he's done in this "war on terrorism" yet?
