Ah, well, I confess to still being in the process of learning the skill of being able to suffer fools gladly...pardon my failure to achieve it from time to time...

Nonetheless, your buttertion is simply WRONG, anyway...

The Romans built forts all along the coast facing Holland, which are referred to as "the forts of the Saxon Shore"...Portchester has a famous example of one of these forts...or Brancaster...or Reculver...under the command of the "Count of the Saxon Shore"...

All within the period of Roman occupation:

The Saxons were knocking on the door, even before the Romans left...

Yet, the rest of your post that I read demonstrates an incredibly sound appreciation of the corresponding history (by the way, the Claudian invasion, obviously! ;)...so, your pretence not to know of these things?

The whole idea of terrorism is "shock and awe." You want the people to freak...

Again, I've discovered yet another case of outright "intellectual dishonesty" from Mr."technical accuracy"...because, truth is, you want to win the argument, NOT correct things to the true picture...

Beth ... snip ... Which was precisely what you said. The fact that you modified it somewhere deep in the bowels of an excessive (to my mind) post is not germane. The following...

I liked the LA-120, and even the LA-36. Compared to an ASR33 they were heavensent. Quiet, fast, easy to setup and use, reliable, and easier to move...

This is the second time I've now found outright and clear intellectual dishonesty in your supposed "corrections", which only serve the purpose to try to "beat" me, than "correct facts", as you claim (which never logically made sense when you ONLY do it to my postings - often on the most trivial and small point you could discover of something useless like "bad phrasiology" - and never anyone else's posts, anyway)...

Nevertheless, any two points can make a straight line, so you have one more "strike" before you are "out"...one more instance of intellectual dishonesty will demonstrate sufficiently to me that you're not even trying to have a discussion beyond some childish insistance to be "the smartest person in all the group that everyone Loves for being so clever" (didn't anyone tell you? No-one actually likes a smartarse...it's the fastest way to lose friends and NOT influence people, I butture you...but, fine, if you want the "breastle" then go for it...but don't blame me when you discover it sucks to be constantly harbutted and sniped at by all and sundry...being "king" will only tempt people to want to "buttbuttinate" you...but, if you don't believe me - because you have this problem with buttertive women telling you what to do - then, please, the best evidence is always of the observational kind, yes? Go right ahead and prove yourself the "big cheese"...but don't come running to me afterward because, well, all you'll get is "told you so!" from me ;)...

Strike One! Strike Two!

You know what comes next...I'm usually a highly forgiving person but to get forgiveness, you've got to actually want it and ask for it...there's no sense giving you something you're not even going to take, right? There is a limit...when that limit is reached - when it's clear you can't be helped (as Annie finally proved herself to be) - then you WILL be abandoned and permanently ignored..."St.Jude" is NOT my patron saint (you're smart enough to know what I mean by that ;)...

You lost my politeness long ago...you've now lost my respect, as you can't even be trusted to argue with intellectual honesty...once more and you'll lose the whole lot because there's no sense dealing with someone of the nature you appear to be increasingly revealing yourself to be...

bah Oh dear, you've returned to this bizarre crap again, have you? This irrational "seige mentality" of yours grows tiresome...also, you should be...

and somewhere This was part of a longer story told about intelligence gathering during the first gulf war. The storyteller wasn't very technically inclined. Apparently, in the first iteration, a...

As I say, I've really not mastered the "suffer fools gladly" part yet...and, at the moment, I'm not inclined to even be bothered to learn...your persistance can only lose you an ally, your victory can only be pyrrhic...when you operate on a lie, that is the only fate that can, in the end, survive...
