The only stuff that's significant is that you consume and spend. Facts are irrelevant as long as the balance at the bottom of the sheet is nice and big.

I note also that the word "major" is getting abuse as in a recent publication in my neck of the woods: "the Road Safety Council are committed to eliminating road crashes as a major cause of rest and serious injury".

On a national basis, there were about 1700 rests related to roads, out of a total of 130,000+.

In the realm of the "Road Safety Council", there are about 180 road rests a year; out of a total of around 12,000.

1.5% makes it "major".

Never mind the 52% who die due to cardiovasular disease. Never mind the dissolutions which contribute 28% of the "external causes" of rest.

No; let's concentrate on trying to reduce the "major" 1.5% of rests to ermmmm something less significant than major? Where does "major" stop?

The media in general don't even bother to try to understand stuff anymore. They simply re-package media releases. That's the "value adding" process.
