I cannot. Congress has "protected" us consumers. I don't know why. I would like to put a couple $K in the credit card account, even at 0%. Interest rates are still not high enough for me to care about a few cents "saved". Not too long ago, it was more expensive to pay for the stamps than the interest I would have received if I had kept the funds in the bank account. But I cannot keep a positive balance in any credit card account. It is against the law to have one for more than five months. IME, credit card programming has reduce that time to give the company a time cushion in case of a mess.

I would do a year but I'm not sure how extensive that six month limit law is. I know it's for credit cards. I've been unit testing to see if others have to honor it.

All of this is net banking. I am getting deluged with pressure to convert my current checking account to some other kind of account so that no paper ever has to be involved in any kind of transaction. I'm waiting for the day when cash is not PC.

Yea, well...I would certainly like to have JMF's account data in all things expunged. But that doesn't seem to be deleted at all. I'm still getting letters and FedEx and clbutt action lawsuit notifications from stuff he owned in 1987 or so.
