real green card gives the card punch combination for every possible 256 hex value (and therefor the ebcdic subset). 12-2-9 for x'02' is burned in my mind since compiler & buttembler intermediate output had it in column one of the esd, txt, rld, end, etc control cards.

for a little drift, there has been recent thread in vmesa-l n.g. about fulist, browse, and ios3270 ... all (early) 3270 full-screen applications. i brought up having done some stuff on gcard (greencard) 3270 application from the late 70s ... and somebody kindly set me an old copy. yesterday, i've done an initial quick & dirty conversion to html

the original ios3270 was much more 24x80 screen formated with some scroll functions on each screen. things were also light pen selectable .. which i've loosely converted to hrefs. while real green card gives the punch card values for each hexadecimal values ... this was left off the ios3270 version of greencard.

I had added sense data to gcard ... which was from 360-67 blue card. I then included sense data for HYPERChannel A220 adapter ... having done a couple A220 drivers for various projects related to HSDT

recent refs: big thing about fulist, browse, ios3270, ... were that they were small, compact, and extremely efficient. early on fulist & browse would fit in 8k...

as well as rfc1044 support for an early mainframe tcp-ip product

FULIST 2543
for even more drift ... early on I was doing all this email stuff. I had a 15,000 entry nickname file...
