We had fun with that one in confirmation school (which you might call the church's indoctrination program - it is that after all). This issue was discussed in both secular school and some of the church events I've attended, so I don't think you're all that unique in that regard either. I think you may be overly generalizing from whatever kind of mainstream education you've seen. It's a bit different in other parts of the world, possibly occasionally better in these respects than what you've seen. That said, I'm quite convinced that you're right in that home-schooling can produce better results in some respects than a given local school system, but then again it certainly isn't guaranteed to ... and I would say that the school system has some value as a social insbreastution as well. -- #Not speaking for my employer.
