Oh, I know adults who think that algebra is a waste of time. This is high schoool algebra. That science is anti-Christian. And I have a sister who actively works on convincing kids not to go to college. I have nephews who will go to Church colleges next year; these schools were chosen because of Church and not because of the quality of the course material they're going to major in. A sister-in-law, who does the home schooling, believes that tadpoles tails fall off. Another sister goes through the public school material and tells her kids what parts are wrong, which is most of the science.
And the US is slowly becoming socialistic with communist based labor laws.
In 1972, I was taking a psych course at a college. One clbutttime the subject was the space program. Half the adults in that clbutt believed that is was a waste of money because mankind already knew everything and there wasn't anything more to learn nor discover. After thinking about these people a little bit, I began collecting knowledge in preparation for the time when these types would begin to destroy it.
