Sure it's dangerous. Not enough so that it'd be a problem, for the most part - not after literacy became common. It'd be a whole another thing if we were running on oral tradition only.
A lot of those do forget where they learned it and are thus practically unable to find it again anyway. I've seen that happen a bit too often.
Well... they don't. That was the typical state of affairs until the industrial revolution in all but high-income families.
But the required level of exposure to ... well, knowledge in all its forms ... isn't high enough for it to be much of a problem anymore in the industrialized countries no matter what.

It's only more dangerous in the cases where the parents deliberately make it so. I'm not saying that that doesn't happen or anything, but then again some schools have been caught doing it too.
buttuming that further examples would be necessary. There's a point where they no longer are and some kids reach that early enough.

An example doesn't necessarily require that whoever gave it understands it or is even capable of such... I fully intend to expose my kids to more complicated music than I can produce or explain myself, for example.
