Possibly. McDonalds changed their coffee way before our social status was measured by coffe brand usage. This was back when somebody deemed it healthier if you drank chickory rather than real coffee.
That means my hypothesis isn't general :-). I didn't know they were using two varieties. Right. It's like expecting apples and oranges to be the same just because they're round and fruit.
