I realize that this may cause pigeonholers problems (in my case it definitely does). Now if somebody were to pay me x$-day explicitly to track my movements or eating patterns or whateverses, hey, sign me up, I even got my own pen. I don't *think* it's just age; f'rinstance I agree with safety-belts, despite having grown up prior to them being mandatory; 'course I'd tend "OnStar" is a choice though (?); nobody's forcing you to use it; there's something like that for truckers so dispatch knows where the driver is at all times; that's a little worrisome. Apart from the HR abuse potential it's an extra cost layer that's been slipped in without question. Anybody want to bet that the overall effect is to *add* to the cost ? Who you gonna go with: The company that says the package will get there in about 2 days and it almost always gets there in two days; Or the company that advertises the package will get there in 36 hours; when they pick up the package it's 40:29:35 (since the 36hrs is their super-express service which isn't available today despite what the operator said), is 10 hours late, but can prove that those 10 hours wasn't it's fault so doesn't owe you a rebate of any kind or even an apology.
