I agree with this completely. It seems like the IRA conflict all over. As soon as some idiot decides to get violent, all hell breaks loose in revenge killings.

Israel has perhaps the greatest geographic concentration of advanced (and nuclear) weapons per square mile of any place on the planet.

From what I have seen, the majority of Israelis just want to get on with life. The sad fact is that like Americans electing GWB to two terms, they keep putting people in positions of power who do not. In addition, America and Europe keep selling them all the weapons they can buy or even giving them away.

Does nobody think it's wrong that Israel gets a free ride on the nuclear weapons issue? This is a nation who have acted in a malicious and warlike action far beyond their need to defend themselves. Perhaps the difference is that America is currently so powerful in the wake of the Cold War arms race that we can do that with impunity so far, but the Israelis have been doing it with impunity for far longer under Uncle Sam's skirts.

The Holocaust is not an eternal Monopoly "Get out of Jail Free" card. The Israelis have blown about as many opportunities to make peace as their neighbors have by flexing their American supplied military might.

I sort of wonder what might have happened had the US planted the daylights out of Israel's air force after the Liberty incident and dared any Arab neighbor to take advantage of the situation with threat of full scale war if they did. We might actually have peace in the middle east.

Instead, we have a situation where so many weapons have been poured into the region by various "allies" that the Israeli Mafia are selling plant components to the Palastinians to make money, knowing they will be used to attack their own country.
