Why does my address appear as part of my name 2524

Good. I will look. I am pretty sure at this point that the problem is not so far back, but has to do with my (recent) re-registration at Google groups where I may have given my name plus address as "user name"

That is a funny word, never seen before. ( what an ugly sound; it sounds like yet another Harry Potter invention).

I think you mean the Mozilla e-mail program. I did not set that up. I use hotmail and yahoo. But I did not know there were so many facets to one's idenbreasty, a real tangle of names.

Now I copied this on a word document, later to see how this terminology fits in with what I used to believe.

I do not need anonymity. The problem was spam and for some time somebody writing in my name (or maybe even from my address), which could be very dangerous. Also, with 60 spams a day to scroll through, it was easy to overlook the very rare or exceptional mail that was not spam.

I also had that problem. However, I got *only* 1200 emails a day. Through me, a friend's friend got 9000 at his university computer. All my relatives, a rather complex collective anyway, got hundreds, and many forgotten ties came to life in a very nasty way.

at Yahoo and Hotmail I never receive any spam. I only receive spam and worse at the address I used to have here.
