There is "name", "user name" and "nick name". It is sort of a trinity. I thought there were only two: user name and nick. I may have given my name plus address as a user name.
I thought it was somehow visible that I do not use any program except Google. Some people find that severely reprehensible for reasons which they were unable to formulate. Yes, I think I understand it now. It is the way you say, though not at the server. !!!!!! And can they use other people's names? Post in my name or send e-mail that looks as if I had written it?

Plus ca change Yesterday's issue (Monday, 14 November) of the Wall Street Journal had a page-one story that brought back lots of memories... Thank you very much. I have just discovered that at my e-mail address provider there is a possibility to block spam. Maybe that works, and in that case it does not matter if my address is so highly visible. Otherwise, I'll have to do what you said and change my Google registration. Though I keep telling l myself that Google is just a computer, I hate to let them see that I had to change my name again, for the forth time. Scruples. Vanity.
