a lot of work went into the standard to try and make it acceptable for other national financial standards organizations. however, it is still going to take a bit of work on x9.99 at the tc68 iso-international level
in x9.99 case, it has pbutted as ansi-x9 standard ... and then has x9 and four other countries sponsor it as the basis for a tc68-iso work item.
