XBOX 360 2594The "Queen Anne" definition we have been living by for the last couple of centuries is that the legally sovereign enbreasties in the world are countries. Thus, Scotland is on the way to become a country again, ironically as the very treaty that defined the terms of a country (Queen Anne, 1702-7) was a direct consequence of merging Scotland into the United Kingdom. Countries have residents, citizens, borders, armies, navies, diplomats, taxes, laws, legislators, police, heads of state, and may make treaties with other countries. They may become colonies or parts of empires when ruled by someone else; i.e. not militarily or administratively sovereign. XBOX 360 2595 In case you haven't noticed, this is just the government catching up with business. It won't be long before I'll be breaking drug laws by smoking a cigarette in my own house. It is... The United States is in its very construction a revolt against this construction; outwardly a country to be compatible with the rest of the world, inwardly a union on republics. So, when the US country "revolt" becomes the norm we will not have any countries anymore. Similar to the high middle ages; which had very few countries and lots of principalities, empires, counties, city states and theocracies. The only places I can think of that has remained a country for the last millenium are : France, Denmark, Egypt, China, Japan, Thailand and Korea. (Both Koreas and all Chinas agree that they are single countries, they just disagree about who is in charge.) XBOX 360 2596 Yup. I wanted to find out how people worked. Then who wrote this book? Did he have a ghost writer? There were some odd sections but I didn't know... -- mrr
