XBOX 360 2661I've been using what the Taliban did to extrapolate how the other extremists would rule. Nor does reality allow ideology. All coups (if I may use that word loosely) based on ideology of existent Isalmic governments rapidly lost the ideo of their ology when confronted with the fact that cats can't be herded. This only happens in "society". All city-slicker ideology gets lost with people who work on the farm. Since this is any triumphant ideologue's bread basket, the unrealistic rules rapidly become forgotten. Which, of course, causes another cycle of unrest. So far, it seems to take Islam-based cycles about a century or so. One difference with this cycle is that toleration is no longer practiced. One of the key reasons Islam had enormous success was due to this toleration of the beliefs of non-Muslims. This is how their Koran, and thus, their Shariah law is getting rewritten.
So far, the successful empires were the ones that merely changed the IRS address and left most everything else alone. XBOX 360 2662 snip Maybe I missed the earlier discussion (one bad consequence of the afc customs with regard to subject headers is that it's hard to tell from the subject line... Only those rabid Christians have been saying that Islam is a sworn enemy. One of the mistakes anti-Bushies make is painting this war into a Christian vs Islam corner. It is not. I seem to have not been able to get this point across in this discussion. In some matters, they are. It is these matters that make Republicans dangerous to our country. Why do you think I keep ranting about those Democrats who favor dumping the Consbreastution to ensure everybody (except them, the rulers) is guaranteed equality? Yup. He doesn't even have basic good manners. I've been thinking about this lack of a religious leader; sometimes I think that is the reason they have their problems. Yes, it used to but not any more with the extremists. They are still emulating what the Nazis taught them. But not anymore. That's why I've been saying that the Koran and Islamic law is getting rewritten. Yes, and these viewers are seeing that what they are told in the mosque doesn't match what goes on in the world. For the first time, Muslims are watching other Muslims argue with Jews on the floors of the Knesset--sometimes losing, sometimes winning, most of the time compromising. This is opposite what they are told in the mosques. This big split lies in the one disagreement about who inherits the ruling of the World. XBOX 360 2665 snip You know, I started to write an indignant reply here (beginning something like "how cynical of you to think that any notion of equality leads inevitably to ...."), but I think you might... XBOX 360 2667 Sigh! It has nothing whatsoever to do with malice. It has everything to do with arrogance of the newly monied who have never learned how to work nor...
According to what Morten reports here occasionally, it does not have to take ages. All that has to be done is removal and supression of those who have bent the ideology of the buttasins to include non-rulers. I don't intend to hope. I intend to do, especially to say no when it should be said. That is NOT an Iraqi civil war. You have not been watching. Which is starting to happen because Iraqis get to do things. People in Afghanistan get to do stuff. No. Yes. Which is why I said no above. He is a puppet run by their religious right. AGain, if you watched, it was city-types voting for constriction and country types voting for moderation. Those who do real work seem to know better; I don't know why. Experience, perhaps. Why is it us who have to do the dirty work? XBOX 360 2666 snip I think here you're attributing to malice that which is better explained by stupidity, or naivete, or a general atbreastude of "I don't care too much... No, the whole Muslim world does not. I used to think that. Unfortunately, peace produces complaceny and a dream-like state that blurs harsh reality. This reality consists of groups of people who do not want peace, do not like peace, and will do everything they can to disrupt any people who try to attain peace. Why do you think that Al Queda, all of a sudden, starting peppering their speeches with aspersions against Israel. It's smoke and mirrors. BAH
