^^^^^^ Muslim No so. I am not a Muslim, and realized during my time in Syria how much I don't know. That was unsettling during the night, when prayers were broadcast from a loudspeaker in front of my windows.

As I wrote before, these are not `evil' people. They are like us. And as I wrote before, and as you imply, we have enough nutters in Christianity to deal with.

There is not even a rough coincidence of meaning among English speakers. What you mean by `freedom' is different from what I mean. I can go into town and get up on a soapbox, and abuse the people. It would alienate many that I respect, (and amuse a lot more), but it would achieve nothing. I am part of a community here, and like it. That constrains what I do a lot. `Freedom means having nothing left to lose' (`Bobbie Maggee', roughly)..

Notice the Muslims have bypbutted the whole nature of the Redeemer problem. Their prophet is human. Thats it. I have the (Quran Koran) here somewhere. I got through several pages and fell asleep. Thats before you start at the early history of the Christian Church, wherein lies, AFAIK, is that people will dispute over anything. Some of the Christians continued to violently dispute after the Muslims took over. It would seem that a lot of the minority sects preferred Muslim rulers because they didn't try to impose their beliefs.

I read an interview once in a Christian magazine with one of the Christian sects in Iraq. He had no problem with Saddam Hussein because the Christians were not involved in the disputes between the Muslim sects, and Saddam left them alone. Possibly, he might have been afraid of another opinion.:)

They didn't sell anything. At the moment, the cycle is like this. Israel takes over property for `security', after a slight pause, the property is sold to `settlers'..
