There are hospitals in Malawi that find it very hard to keep their newly trained nurses, which are recruited by hospitals in Europe or the US. There are large numbers of people with a wish to be educated in the Arab countries.. We pbutted several smallish universities in Syria, one built by Germans, which would be extra to the State system. In the whole area, there is an enormous wish to become a modern and distinct part of the world. If that dynamic is chanelled into the right direction, it will be to the whole world's benefit. If the main Western powers persist in treating them as a lot of ignorant Wogs, disaster will ensue.

Well, it would be very hard for the French, who informed the US that the `Chad uranium' story was spurious, months before the US was still using the story as part of their justification for war, to have any confidence in the US leadership.. And as for the Germans, they have had enough disasters in the last century without getting implicated in another.

I don't know. Diplomacy is the only way forward there. Nobody has the sort of military strength to stop them, a combination of pressures will have to be used. Dangerous. Hopefully the Israelis have a good idea what is there, and what they can really achieve. A mess-up would make things worse, then some of the rumors that it was the Israelis were the source of the mobile-phone intel that the US used to try to kill off Saddam before the real invasion does not give one confidence.

Hope so. This is the point that one needs a God that one can believe in. But, suppose, that God told one to kill all enter some minority group
