What I mean when I type `laugh', is that when I see that things are going downhill, my reaction is to laugh. Its a bad thing. Last week, there was a community group going to appear in a TV interview, and as I won't appear myself (seeing old guys blathering on TV is NOT good PR), we agreed a form of words that one of the merely middle-aged would use as a basis. Interviewer went to someone who suffered verbal buffer overflow. All I could do is laugh.

Easy to say all that, but it dosn't heal a broken heart. There was no other option, people can't hold themselves back to prop up egos.

There was a story about England before Maggie took over. Winter came in, some openable windows in the factory were still open, and nobody could shut them because it was another trades area.

As for the Russians, I think it is the long Winters.

Right. What I don't understand is how people think it can work this time. Yes. I've been learning about Korea. I haven't come across anything about Burma. I don't want to puke so...

Afghansitan is still in the middle ages. Several teams of foreigners have tried to change that, from Alexanders time to now, most famous being the Anglo-Indian army in mid 1800's, of which only one man returned.

Actually, I was impressed when Jack Straw condemned the anti-Muslim cartoon. That cartoon was was like `Julius Streicher II, return of the Semite Baiter'

The BBC is well regarded almost everywhere. As Voltaire wrote `I don't agree with what you say, but, ect'. The BBC is almost a world insbreastution. Not perfect, but as fair as can be hoped for in an imperfect world.

The problem is that you cannot rule with ideology; it becomes too vague and PC-based in an instant. You must have...

By choosing one number, one can see the human being that was terminated. There was an article in paper about the 100th British, I didn't buy that paper. A close relative did a term in Foreign Legion (French), and his mother was frantic with worry the whole time. We drove through Northern Ireland that time, and my wife was worried about the British Army, which was portrayed by the Republicans (Irish) as trigger-happy. As we waited in line, I pointed out that they were teenaged boys, like our relative.

Reminds me of people in pub praising IRA, I would say, `You go ahead, I will be right behind you, as soon as I finish this drink!'

You cruel, cruel, person!.

snip Some of them, maybe. I'm sure that there's not a 100% correlation between being anti-Bush and having this atbreastude, however, and if...
