XBOX 360 2691One thing I think that O'l Tricky privatesy was never credited for, was leaving the US in a better situation than it was when he was elected. Out of Viet Nam, better relations with China, etc. I wonder when the whole story will be told..
Politics is a really horrible business.. If someone seems even slightly honest, leave it to them. If one has the slightest blemish in ones past (say, posted in a slightly sympathetic way about Palestinians), it will be in the media. Very few of us have a past that clean, and most of those who do just have it well hidden. Just got around to it. Reminds me of the old English lady that said "I don't care what they do, as long as they don't do it in the street and frighten the horses".. On the other hand, there is another Fallwell that is proposing a windmill on an airplane. Cool.
Yup. Socialism may have something to do with it. There are great blocks of flats in East Berlin that seem well built, but desperatly unfashionable. Some elderly people are moving in, low rents. XBOX 360 2693 That is called habit. There are cases where maintaining the habit was destructive; there a lot more cases where stopping the habit because... XBOX 360 2694 I question that exception. Not Paul alone, and besides the post-Roman bath houses all over Europe were rather bad occasionally. Duh...
They targeted particular people when it suited them, or when paid to. Had a very murky role in the later Crusader time. Still here as the I'smaliya sect, whose present leader, the Aga Khan, has a great interest in racehorses. Paying about 20mill dollars to rebuilding an Irish racecourse so he can have a better view of his horses.. (enters Abraham Simpson mode)..
Suddeny realized that you had written that a few lines up. Quote gone now. Status Quo is as much as we can hope for. Hey, what happened to Darfurians?.. Or the Chagos islanders?. Versailles Conferance, 1919 or so. The Arabs had been promised independence. Instead, they were to be `protected', and Zionist colonization started.. Bin Laden, through his family connections, was fantastically wealthy. The Wahabis took over most of Arabia in the period 1750 forward, alienated most of the population, and were expelled back to the desert by an Egyptian-Turkish force, and remained there until after 1920 or when they took over the Saudi area. Seem to have gotten the knack of enjoying life recently.
