Its hard to raise money for education (although someone on radio Sweden was talking (in English) one night, and described how they grade people for bank loans by profession, medicine was way in front).. I suppose personal initiative.. This country (ireland) went through a `bad' period between 1929 and 1957, during which people became afraid to borrow money, a lot even didn't get married, and religious outlooks predominated, and the country was physically dying.. That is not `wealth' (Actually, with personal borrowing rising 30% year on year at the moment , our problems will be the opposite soon).
