The United States military are a bunch of grunts that work for their "immediate supervisors", who in turn work for their "immediate supervisors". It's called the "chain of command" and their duties are pretty simple. They are never given the opportunity to think for themselves. They are trained to take orders and "trained" to trust their friends immediately around them. They aren't given access to read the news that you are privileged to read. They depend upon the others that around them. They put their lives in the hands of the other soldiers around them.

99.999% operate in this manner. You're a$$uming somethings that you shouldn't be a$$uming. The soldiers out in the areas of combat are never provided the luxury of a$$umptions that other folks take and abuse.

A case in point, look up "Pat Tillman". He was a football star, and one of his buddies "a$$umed" something (wrongly) and end the man.

If the American soldiers in Iraq knew that President Bush blew up the World Trade Centers, knew that Bush mailed anthrax from Fort Detrick, Maryland to people inside the United States, there might be some peeed off grunts. But what can they do? They're in Iraq, working to protect OIL, putting their lives on the line to protect George Bush and his OIL PUMPING machine. They HAVE to trust their friends around them. They RELY upon their instincts. They are TRAINED to ALWAYS walk in pairs, to NEVER walk the same path twice. That's the kind of training they go through. Most of the stuff is very simple training and oddities that have a place for what they're doing and where they live and work.

They can't lose that trust in their peers. They aren't the ones to blame. Blame the United States White House and the United States Senate. Put the blame where it belongs.

Stay away from a$$umptions.
