I meant "production line" literally. The goal was numbers not contents of each memeber's brain.

I think that human nature. It's no accident that our intellectuals are merely over-educated.

It is simple. That's the perception. In the 60s-70s, the hot money was engineering. In the 90s, the hot money was bunny scripting.

It's not unlike bit flows of OS development and distributions. It's very much alike with respect to causes and effects, especially when you begin to think of using the OSes to make the OSes, etc.

For a simple exercise, try to imagine exactly all the human actions required to create, make, and develop MACRO-10; I call this work history. To make it more interesting include the hardware work history. To get anywhere near what really happened, you also have to include the science needed to lay foundations of knowledge, war histories, economic histories...And I'm finally saying "Uncle" by deciding it also has to include banking work histories.
